SUMMARY

Aerostar Technical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Pricing and Estimating professional to support defense and aerospace mission. The Pricing Analyst applies in-depth knowledge of government contracting, federal regulations, and industry standards to proposal pricing and proposal development. This position will support project cost analysis for Department of Defense (DoD), federal, and commercial RFPs, RFQs, and task orders.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The price analyst will prepare complex cost proposals IAW the Request for Proposal (RFP), work breakdown structures (WBS), and basis of estimates (BOE).

  • Analyze and develop estimates of labor, material, equipment, production, and other direct costs against actual expenses, historical data, or price-to-win data.

  • Lead in the development of pricing strategies for existing and new business opportunities to include business case/profitability analysis.

  • Assist with price/cost analysis on subcontractor proposals.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on contract pricing activities and must be able to articulate this knowledge to management.

  • Ensure FAR/DFAR compliance of proposals and supports proposals through the corporate approval process.

  • Assist and contribute during proposal meetings/discussions and contract negotiations.

  • Develop and maintain product price lists.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related field.
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a pricing analyst and supplemental agency regulations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of FAR Part 15, Federal cost principles and techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Agency FAR Supplements.
  • Knowledge of contract types T&M, Cost-plus, and Firm-Fixed-Price.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume contracting environment.
  • Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions, problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
