SUMMARY
As a Perception Software Test Technician, you'll assist engineering by testing out new software feature developments and designing, fabricating, and/or troubleshooting a process, system, assembly, or product.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Write test plans, conduct tests, and document results.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.
  • Participate in department improvement activities.
  • Contributes to the team and projects in an above average manner.
  • Lead or participate in department improvement activities.
  • Perform troubleshooting to look for areas of opportunity, as well as compliance and implementation issues.
  • Develop, research, and recommend test procedures, including writing software to automate testing.
  • Progressively increases contributions and impact to the team and projects.
  • Lead assigned projects, with limited engineering assistance from the concept stage through production and make modifications as necessary.
  • Innovative in nature and contributes to new product ideas.
  • May be asked to interact with customer to install, monitor, troubleshoot, or repair products.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a software related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience testing software feature development.
  • Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
  • Experience using the Linux command line interface preferred.
  • Basic problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Exercises independent judgment with broadly defined practices and policies in obtaining results.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Travel may be necessary, based on position.
