Summary

Perform clerical and sales functions to support various initiatives within the sales department.

 

Essential Functions

  • Explore opportunities for new business development in a specific territory, account, or market.
  • Perform administrative functions such as generating sales analysis, handling customer requests and maintaining sales documentation.
  • Generate price quotes within established guidelines. Review sales orders and sales forecast data via internal programs. 
  • Assist with sales department projects.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop content and customer material.
  • Identify new product and product enhancement opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and customer teams in regards to product design, development, and function.
  • Participate in industry events such as trade shows, conferences, and other travel as required.
  • Investigate, document, and distribute competitive product and market trends.
  • Demonstrates the Dimensions of Competition and Raven Team Member Values in their daily actions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Depending on division, the following functions also apply
  • Coordinate the collection, storage, distribution, and/or shipment of product samples and marketing materials.
  • Design and process label projects. Maintain project records and costing.
  • Coordinate and or assist with the assembly of large marketing mailings.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 2 years related administrative experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office programs.
  • If the division requires work with label projects – experience with label media design software and printing equipment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff
