Raven is organized into three business units that sell our advanced products and solutions within their niche markets. Our Corporate Services team supports the daily operations and business activities of all three.


Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the company benefits plans. Provide direct support to team members regarding their benefits.

Essential Functions
• Assist in the general administration of group benefits.
• Lead or assist with benefits projects and events.
• Provide service for incoming calls, visitors, and correspondence regarding benefits.
• Process benefit transactions such as new enrollments, status changes, and premium billings. Coordinate with payroll.
• Assist in the facilitation of the benefit plan renewal process and annual benefits open enrollment.
• Work to drive results to attain department and company benefits goals.
• Act as a liaison for benefit vendors and reconcile billings. Work with vendors on quality issues; and to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Make recommendations on benefits program enhancements or changes.
• Monitor programs for compliance.
• Evaluate and revise internal processes to provide maximum efficiency.
• Provide ongoing communication to enhance team member’s understanding of benefits programs.
• Provide assistance with regards to 401(k) questions, transactions, and compliance.
• Administer information regarding COBRA and HIPAA.
• Assist with benefits and wellness projects and events.
• Manage document storage and retention for benefit files.
• Perform administrative functions such as creating/updating documents, handling mail, and maintaining filing.
• Demonstrate the Dimensions of Competition and Raven Team Member Values in daily actions.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the company’s quality management system and controls.

Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years related experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to work with highly confidential information and documentation with discretion.
• Project and team leadership skills and experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communications, and customer service skills.
• Ability to use data to determine actions that need to be taken to drive improvements; and the knowledge and initiative to drive the improvements.
• Strong proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Office programs.
• Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
• Ability to be flexible and multitask.
• Ability to speak in front of groups of people.
• Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Familiarity with group benefit plans and regulations is helpful.
