SUMMARY  

Raven is currently seeking an Engineering Technician 1 to assist the Product Development team by designing, testing, fabricating, and/or troubleshooting products, systems and processes. This role will include prototype cable harness assembly, test and validation to support Product Development. Additional tasks may include spending time on Agricultural equipment to determine electrical & hydraulic connections points, device mounting locations, and other needs to support product integration.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist engineering and coordinate with internal teams on a variety of products and processes, including: engineering specifications, drawings, models, manuals, processes, or bill of materials.
  • Research, investigate, and select technical data pertinent to the assigned project.
  • Work with internal teams and external sources to obtain and communicate data relative to engineering requirements.
  • May be involved in the bid process.
  • Conduct tests following a procedure and document results.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.
  • Participate in department improvement activities.
  • May be asked to interact with customer to install, monitor, troubleshoot, or repair products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or 3+ years of experience in field related to specific position is preferred.

  • Experience with DC Circuits, reading cable harness schematics, and cable harness assembly is preferred.

  • Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.

  • Knowledge of cable harness manufacturing techniques is preferred.

  • Basic problem analysis and problem solving techniques.

  • Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Office.

  • Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members.

  • Travel may be necessary.
