SUMMARY

Assist manufacturing engineering by designing, testing, implmenting and/or troubleshooting a process, system, assembly, or product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist manufacturing engineering and coordinate with internal teams on a variety of products and processes, including: engineering specifications, drawings, manuals, processes, or bill of materials.
  • Research, investigate, and select technical data pertinent to the assigned project.
  • Conduct engineering studies with the manufacturing team to determine root cause and corrective actions to quality issues.
  • Work with internal teams and external sources to obtain and communicate data relative to engineering requirements.
  • Write test plans, conduct tests, and document results.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.
  • Assist in train team members on proper utilization of production tools, procedures, and equipment.
  • Assist with production part approval process (PPAP).
  • Participate in manufacturing improvement activities through the use of Lean principles.
  • Demonstrates the Dimensions of Competition and Raven Team Member Values in their daily actions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in field related to specific position is preferred.
  • 2+ years experience in a related position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
  • Understanding of Lean Principles and manufacturing processes are preferred.
  • Basic problem analysis and problem solving techniques.
  • Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
  • Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.
  • Ability to read drawings and work instructions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Travel may be necessary, based on position.
