Raven is organized into three business units that sell our advanced products and solutions within their niche markets. Our Corporate Services team supports the daily operations and business activities of all three.

The Government Compliance Accounting Manager position will assist the Aerostar division to prepare, calculate, and manage indirect rates and incurred costs submissions in compliance with government regulations.

Essential Functions

  • Act as organization subject matter expert in all government compliance areas.
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining policies and procedures related to government compliance accounting.
  • Calculate and manage indirect rates in a costs reimbursable environment.
  • Work with the DCAA in pre- and post-award audit conditions such as accounting systems, proposals, labor floor checks, and incurred cost audits, as well as provide internal review of working papers.
  • Prepare incurred cost submissions, proposal pricing and develop provisional billing rate submissions.
  • Review audit support and interact with independent auditors.
  • Prepare and revise disclosure statements as changes occur to accounting practices (including cost impacts).
  • Reviews home office allocation model and updates accordingly to assure direct, homogeneous, and residual allocations are being spread in compliance with CAS 403 standards.
  • Assist in contract negotiations as needed.
  • Assure staffing requirements are met.
  • Encourage team member growth and development.
  • Administer team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.
  • Maintain records on direct reports in relation to attendance and performance.

• Understanding of governmental contract accounting.
• Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Compliance
• Understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Knowledge of the FAR and DFARS with particular emphasis on FAR Parts 15, 16, 30, 31, and 42.
• Understanding of government contract types, payment, and invoicing terms and conditions to include fixed-price, time and materials, cost-plus, and other common contract types.
• Ability to be flexible and multitask.
• Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office (specifically Excel). Ability to use query tools is preferred. Experience utilizing web-based applications is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.   Ability to train team members on compliance practices

• 10-15% travel.
