Summary The Contracts Administrator is responsible for purchase order execution and contract administration; including documentation, purchase order/contract maintenance, and assist in development of proposals to support Government customers.


Essential Functions
• The contract administrator assists in the preparation of complex cost proposals IAW, work breakdown structures (WBS), and basis of estimates (BOE).
• Administer and execute firm fixed price, time & materials, or cost-type contracts and subcontracts, as well as IDIQ type contracts and purchase orders.
• Coordinate, develop, produce and review acceptability for contract documentation such as subcontracts, agreements, purchase orders, modification task/delivery orders, solicitations, estimates, cost/price analysis, statement of work, proposals, certifications, and correspondence.
• Maintains contract records in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement and other applicable supplements, and CPSR standards, as applicable.
• Create purchase orders and solicit requirements using purchase requisition information to obtain pricing and delivery commitments.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on contract administration activities, and must be able to communicate this knowledge.
• Ensure contract requirements are met, assist in cost management, and coordinate issue resolution with customers.
• Ensure the management of contract file(s); prepare and control all modifications and correspondence.
• Create and maintain supplier accounts within the company business system.
• Participate in proposal activities for FFP, T&M and Cost-type government contracts and purchase orders.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related field.
• 3-5 years of direct experience as a contracts administrator with strong knowledge and understanding of FAR, DFARS regulations, and other supplemental agency regulations.
• Experience interacting with DCAA or other government auditors and undergoing DCAA audits of various types, to include proposal audits, incurred cost, voucher reviews/audits, accounting systems and purchasing systems.
Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years of direct experience as a DoD subcontracts administrator with strong knowledge and understanding of FAR, DFARS regulations, and other supplemental agency regulations.
• Experience with government contract proposal development, to include cost estimating and pricing of FFP, T&M and Cost-type contracts.
• Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Agency FAR Supplements, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR).
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume contracting environment.
• Ability to analyze a problem and recommend solutions, problem solving skills.
• Oral and written communication skills.
