Raven is organized into three business units that sell our advanced products and solutions within their niche markets. Our Corporate Services team supports the daily operations and business activities of all three.


Raven Industries is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee the activities for Human Resource administration and support functions. This position will provide leadership for HR programs and policies as they relate to supporting the company’s strategic goals.

Essential Functions
• Support all functions of HR within area of support - such as benefits, employment, compensation, or HRIS.
• Work with team members and leadership to understand their needs and ensure that HR meets the needs.
• Provide leadership or assistance on HR programs, initiatives, or projects. Keep appropriate staff involved. Design, plan, and/or implement programs or policies.
• Participate in development and execution of budgets, short-term plans, and long-term plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives.
• Assure adherence to budget for costs associated with team’s activities.
• Promote and maintain the highest possible environment of service, teamwork, and collaboration.
• Establish and maintain metrics to track and improve processes within area of support.
• Ensure legal and compliance requirements are monitored and met.
• Drive annual processes within area of support – such as open enrollment, performance reviews, or compensation planning.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of HR documentation.
• Prepare and present reports and recommendations on programs or projects.
• Keep informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the HR profession.
• Coordinate efforts to ensure proper safety and ergonomics standards and guidelines are met in work area.
• Assure staffing requirements are met.
• Encourage team member growth and development.
• Administer annual team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.
• Maintain records on direct reports in relation to attendance and performance.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field.
• 8+ years experience in a related position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
• Ability to work with highly confidential information and documentation with discretion.
• In-depth understanding of HR body of knowledge.
• PHR, SPHR, or related HR certification highly encouraged.
• General knowledge of financial statements.
• Demonstrated project and team leadership abilities.
• Business acumen to work with all levels of leadership.
• Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to conduct investigations and discern issues to make recommendations based on findings.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
• Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
• High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members.
• Ability to be flexible and multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Limited travel as needed.
• Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.
