Essential Functions

  • Assist in the reduction of inventory and increase inventory turns throughout the entire supply chain that is sustainable throughout various market seasons.
  • Engage in areas of consistent shortages or overages. Analyze and recommend stocking level changes that align with historical demand and forecast.
  • Identify products or product families to exit or enhance by recommending changes to improve product flow.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering Team to ensure collaborative efforts, ensure alignment of work.
  • Develop stocking levels by plant, establish inventory levels by plant per quarter.
  • Pursue methods to optimize inventory storage opportunities.
  • Adjust stocking levels to support operational improvements.
  • Refine Planning Data to align with business needs by working directly with schedulers and master scheduler to implement. Persistently look for methods to increase throughput while decreasing safety stocks.
  • Ensure that the core processes of EFD keep running efficiently by optimizing the availability of inventory.
  • Continually analyze inventory for trends and opportunities for consumption.
  • Classify inventory for quick understanding and actions using Planner Numbers, Product Family, Product Codes, etc. to view and segregate the data.
  • Develop sustainable cycle count plan for all plants including monthly requirements and full physicals in accordance with policy.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to identify ways to improve inventory consumption accuracy, identify trends that drive action.
  • Expand obsolescence review process to engage with supply chain, manufacturing, shipping and sales teams to develop a full plan.
  • Utilize Atlas platform capabilities to aid in a new level of visibility for the division to drive action and change.
  • Maintain close surveillance over inventory control activities.
  • Provide direction on inventory issues, and keep appropriate staff informed of issues or concerns.
  • Provide reports and analysis to monitor and measure effectiveness of inventory management practices.
  • Serve as liaison between departments to assist with activities such as cycle count verifications.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field.
• Minimum 5 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• C.P.I.M. certification is preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership skills.

• Ability to think critically and collaborate across 7 sites and all departments.
• Considerable knowledge of inventory control procedures.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
• High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members.
• Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
• Ability to be flexible and multitask.
• Proficient with a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
