Summary
Direct, supervise, and coordinate functions of the maintenance department. Contributes to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and encourages good work habits.
Essential Functions
- Supervise maintenance services of all tools, equipment, and machines used within the division.
- Ensure service coverage is adequate to production needs.
- Oversee the predictive maintenance program.
- Order and maintain parts and supplies inventory.
- Assist with equipment and machine installation or repair, as necessary.
- Designs or modifies equipment, jigs, fixtures, and tooling.
- Responsible to assure team members receive training needed for their position.
- Ensure team members have a strong understanding of their job responsibilities.
- Coordinate efforts to ensure proper safety and ergonomics standards and guidelines are met in work area.
- Ensure staffing requirements are met.
- Encourage team member growth and development.
- Administer annual team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning process.
- Maintain records on direct reports in relation to attendance and performance.
- May lead or contribute to department improvement initiatives.
- May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and interpret equipment manuals.
- Ability to use various hand tools and test equipment.
- Proficiency with a computer.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
- High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members.
- Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
- Ability to be flexible and multitask.
- Ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
- Depending on division, forklift certification is required.
- Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required. Refer to Raven Vehicle Operations Policy CS-13 for guidelines.
