Summary
Responsible for the facilitation and advancement of the product development stage gate and agile development planning processes along with development planning tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate, implement, train, and deliver process change initiatives and software development tool initiatives to deliver electronic systems and software processes to development teams and across organization.
- Investigate industry emerging/best practices through training and self-motivated education. Propose process improvements for organization using knowledge gained.
- Use software development understanding to aid in product and service development tool evaluation, selection, and implementation to support strategic plans.
- Collect and evaluate business needs along with feedback from stakeholders on tools performance and process improvements to support department decisions and initiatives.
- Act as Process & Tools Subject Matter Expert for organization.
- Identify gaps in development tools and propose appropriate solutions.
- Work with project management team and company leadership to develop and release process improvements.
- Author and document guidelines, best practices, templates, procedures, and processes.
- Create and deliver process & tools training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years related experience required; with exposure to software development or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Software Development methods (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience in leading activities with cross-functional teams
- Capability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
- Strong administrative skills, detail orientated .
- Elevated level of patience and service.
- Ability to motivate team members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
- Capacity to be flexible and multitask.
- Proficient with a computer, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively during cross-team collaborations and with leadership staff.
