Raven Engineered Films division is seeking a R&D Process Technician to operate various machines in production; coordinate operation of the line with team and assist with process improvement and training.

Essential Functions:
• Operate machines during testing and other runs.
• Perform machine setups and changeovers.
• Verify machine is set up to requirements to assure quality products. Assure compliance with production schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of production processes and related systems.
• Work with R&D team to troubleshoot problems with machine and product.
• Ensures raw materials meet quality standards.
• Provide input on new product development activities.
• Recommend product or process improvement strategies.
• Monitor production data such as scrap levels, machine down time, and defects.
• Provide basic training for team members.
• Service and operate test equipment.
• Participate in production improvement initiatives.
• Monitor variance and yields and recommend necessary action to correct or resolve discrepancies.
• Limited travel is required.

• Associate’s degree, or military training, in related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fully meets the competencies of a Machine Operator, per division standards.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to direct the work efforts of other team members.
• Aptitude to learn electrical and/or mechanical skills.
• Proficiency with a computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work at a fast pace efficiently.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions, and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Ability to operate forklift, pallet mover, or hoist equipment. Forklift certification may be required.
