Summary
Perform activities related to the receiving functions for the business. Ensure incoming materials are handled per processes in an efficient manner.

Essential Functions
  • Load and unload freight.
  • Receive and inspect incoming materials or product.
  • May perform dimensional or electrical testing of incoming materials.
  • Transport freight to proper locations.
  • Use computer to transfer inventories.
  • Create and maintain processes and instructions for receiving.
  • May assist with cycle counts.
  • Trains new team members.
  • May operate forklift or pallet jack.
  • Participate in production improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrates support for company culture in their daily actions.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.

    Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous shipping/receiving experience is required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, pallet mover, and hoist equipment.
  • Working knowledge of ground and air carriers, LTL, and international shipment procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good organizational skills. Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with a computer.
  • Team player who is self-motivated, and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.

    Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, and walk up to 12 hours. Required to bend, and reach. Required to lift/carry up to 55lbs. Required to climb/use stairs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    Working Conditions: A production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
