The Senior Network Engineer will design, configure, install, and support IT infrastructure hardware, software, and related applications on the company’s network to ensure stable and secure operation of Raven’s information technology assets.



  • Responsible for a variety of tasks and projects, including installation and support of software, equipment, networking infrastructure, and other system components.
  • Works independently, as well as with a team.
  • May act as a lead on projects and guide other Engineers and Administrators.
  • Contributes to the team in an above average manner.
  • Assist engineering on a variety of tasks and projects, including installation and support of software, equipment, network infrastructure, VOIP equipment, and other system components.
  • Perform backups of systems and configurations.
  • Support end users, including system troubleshooting and training.
  • Provide third party support and provide feedback/training to team.
  • Facilitate asset management, including maintenance contracts.
  • Test and prepare software applications for installation.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations on projects.
  • Participate in department improvement activities.



  • Experienced engineer with 5+ years of career experience, with Bachelor’s degree. 3+ years’ experience with Master’s degree. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant certifications preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CCVP).
  • Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in the following areas:
    • Routing/Switching – Cisco routers,  BGP, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Meraki
    • Firewall– Palo Alto and Cisco ASA
    • Wireless – Cisco WLC-based, Meraki
    • Services – Cisco ISE, Radius, Mitel VOIP, data center network design
  • Basic problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Limited travel may be necessary, based on position.
  • Developed expert in technical skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field of support.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Capable of defining appropriate approaches and solutions.
  • Furthers knowledge of profession through continued education and/or seeking or providing mentorship.
