Summary
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring overall form, fit, and function of new vehicle systems into a single complete system.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for executing system engineering best practices for off-highway machines.
- Define and maintain product level feature specifications, system layout, and documentation.
- Work closely with architectural team to ensure maximum component scalability and modularity.
- Understand intended product end user needs.
- Assist in defining product vision and roadmap.
- Translate stakeholder needs to product requirements.
- Define system level features and decompose those requirements into individual subsystem definitions and requirements.
- Work across multiple engineering disciplines and development teams to coordinate system definition, design, and integration.
- Responsible for individual product design alignment with multi-product architectural strategy.
- Ensure product aligns with applicable standards.
- Work with product verification and validation to ensure system and components perform as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, in field related to specific position.
- Engineering fields applicable to this position: Robotics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering..
- Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
- Experience in off highway automation and/or autonomy.
- Strong experience with off highway vehicle electronics.
- Strong experience with agricultural practices and operations.
- Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
- Travel may be necessary, based on position.
