As a Trainer III, you'll have the opportunity to create training plans and programs utilizing the latest video, audio, and presentation software to build interactive training content for online and classroom training programs.



  • Collaborate with team, other departments, or external sources to create innovative training delivery methods.
  • Utilize technology to motivate and engage learners of varied audiences. 
  • Formulates training programs and schedules based on the needs of the division.
  • Determines, or gives input to determine appropriate instructional procedures or methods.
  • Organizes and develops training materials and training evaluation procedures.
  • Ensures training documentation and reporting is completed.
  • Maintains training metrics to track utilization and identify needs.
  • Coordinates internal and external trainers and facilitators.
  • Depending on division, may have safety committee responsibilities.



  • Associate’s degree in education, instructional design, media studies or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated innovative and creative thinking.
  • Advanced proficiency with use of a computer - including Microsoft Office software, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Premier Pro, Addition, and Photo Shop.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles in the education process.
  • Experience with video and audio production preferred.
  • Depending on division, may need experience with Rapid Development methodologies.
  • Strong ability to coach and motivate.
  • Possess enthusiasm and positive attitude.
  • Ability and willingness to respond to new concepts and changing priorities.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training to individuals or groups.
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communications.
  • Intermediate proficiency with use of a computer, including Microsoft Office software.
  • Depending on position and division, may need to become a certified instructor in IPC and JSTD.
  • Depending on position, may travel up to 25% of time.
  • Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.
