The Chief Financial Officer is a senior leader that sits on the executive leadership team, reports to the CEO, and is responsible for the development and implementation of short and long-term financial planning, creation and monitoring of financial policies and procedures, development and maintenance of operational and capital budgets, ongoing analysis of revenue generation, revenue lifecycles, reserves, and expenditures, and the supervision of the Finance and Accounting departments.  The CFO maximizes our financial position and assures financial viability by providing leadership and direction to our teams and strategies.   

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accounting, budgeting, and internal controls of the company; as well as for the analysis and financial performance of the corporation.
• Manage the finance and financial planning functions, which provide audits, statements, and reports relative to financial and operational performance.
• Review consolidated financial statements, analyze and evaluate the financial status of the company, prepare recommendations relative to future financial plans, objectives, policies, and goals. Develop and implement programs to achieve corporate objectives.
• Review the company’s accounting policies, internal control procedures, benchmarking, and testing activities.
• Certify Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 Annual Internal Control compliance. Responsible for tax compliance.
• Communicate strategic plans to stakeholders. Review strategic plan submissions from operating units for consistency with corporate objectives and the corporation’s risk tolerance.
• Lead initiatives to improve financial services provided to Raven management.
• Interface with the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors regarding audit recommendations and accounting practices.
• Head investor relations activities, including development of investor communications.
• Advise executive team regarding new corporate initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Act as advisor to management regarding procedures, projects, programs, team member relations, compensation, and other matters.
• Responsible for Treasury function. Coordinate global banking relationships. Develop and maintain treasury reporting systems.
• Participate as a member of the Executive team in the development and execution of effective strategy.
• Keep informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the profession.
• Provide leadership for the Finance and Accounting functions.
• Responsible for team member development, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Public company experience is required.
• 10+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High level of integrity, trust, and service.
• Considerable knowledge of taxes and financial investments. Experience with investor relations.
• Considerable knowledge of current laws and regulations pertaining to finance and taxes.
• Experience in strategy development.
• Supportive of and practiced in conservative financial management.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communications, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Business acumen to work with all levels of leadership.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills. Creativity and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with use of a computer - including Microsoft Office.
• Strong ability to coach and motivate. Possess enthusiasm and positive attitude.
• Limited travel as needed.
